2014年11月27日，WMO/WWRP处长Paolo M Ruti博士应邀来中国气象局访问，在局国际合作司协调下，我院牵头承办了WMO-WWRP研究计划研讨会，端义宏院长主持。局国际合作司、局科技司、yd12300云顶线路、国际气象中心有关专家参加研讨会。

会上，yd12300云顶线路专家张小曳、武炳义、陈跃、于飞，国际气象中心专家龚建东分别介绍了“Introduction of CMA activities in Atmospheric Watch and Environmental Meteorological Forecasting”、“Introduction of the numerical forecast model in CMA”、“Monitoring and Exploring about the Arctic and Antarctic”、“A brief introduction of Weather Modification Activities in China”、“Introduction of the Third Tibetan Plateau Atmospheric Scientific Experiment （TIPEX―III）”。报告充分展现了中国气象局承担国际化研究、业务及有关工作的能力和水平。

双方专家还结合自身研究内容和承担项目，就WWRP在未来有哪些项目、项目设置的思路和目的，以及中国在其中起到的作用和承担的任务等学术方面展开了热烈的讨论。
